This page is lovingly dedicated to the beautiful Shelties
that were a part of my life for many years.
They have given me joy and cherished memories.

Ch Fennecus Blue Collar Man
BRAD (10/82 - 3/92)

The first, and our complete family dog.
Brad was always by our side, traveled wherever we went,
played basketball, football and soccer with the boys,
and was the first frisbee player.
He had great heart and stamina.
Cancer took him from us before we were prepared
to let him go, and we miss him still.

PEBBLES (8/84 - 1/99)

To Pebbles With Love

There is no death. The stars go down
To rise upon some other shore,
And bright in heaven's jewelled crown
They shine forevermore.

The choicest gifts
That heaven hath kindly lent to earth
Are ever first to seek again
The country of their birth.

Although we grieve
When beautiful, familiar forms
That we have learned to love are torn
From our embracing arms ~

They are not dead.  They have but passed
Beyond the mists that blind us here
Into the new and larger life
Of that serener sphere.

They have but dropped their robe of clay
To put their shining raiment on;
They have not wandered far away ~
They are not lost nor gone.

Though disenthralled and glorified
They still are here and love us yet;
The dear ones they have left behind
They never can forget.

And ever near us, though unseen,
The dear, immortal spirits tread ~
For all the boundless universe
Is Life~there are no dead.

CHARLIE (2/83 - 8/98)

A true princess and one of the most
beautiful Shelties I have known.
Quiet and dignified, she gave us her love
as a gift to be cherished.

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far,
To seek where shadows are
Her pleasant lot.

Rest, rest, for evermore
Upon a mossy shore;
Rest, rest at the heart's core
Till time shall cease:
Sleep that no pain shall wake,
Night that no morn shall break,
Till joy shall overtake
Her perfect peace.

from "Dream Land"

We are each of us angels
with only one wing,
to fly we need only
embrace each other.
